The Minutes (“we”, “us”) is designed to help you turn meeting recordings into clear minutes. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and your choices.
What we process
When you use The Minutes, you may provide:
- Audio recordings (if you record in the app)
- Transcripts and generated outputs (summaries, minutes, key points, exports)
- Basic app diagnostics (crash logs and performance data, if enabled by your device)
Why we process it
We process your data to:
- Transcribe recordings
- Generate summaries and documents you request (minutes, email drafts, etc.)
- Improve reliability and prevent abuse (rate limits, error monitoring)
Storage
Your meeting data may be stored on your device and/or securely in cloud storage depending on how the app is configured and the features you use.
We do not sell your data.
Third-party services
To provide transcription and summarisation, The Minutes may use third-party service providers (cloud infrastructure and AI processing). These providers are used only to deliver the service and are not permitted to use your data for advertising purposes.
Sharing
You control sharing. The Minutes only shares content when you export, copy, or send it.
Data retention
We retain data only as long as needed to provide the service and operate the app.
You can delete meeting data from within the app. Deletion removes it from your accessible history. (Some technical logs may remain for a limited time for security and debugging.)
Security
We use industry-standard security practices, including encryption in transit (HTTPS). No system is 100% secure, but we work to protect your information.
Children
The Minutes is not intended for children under 13.
Your choices
You can choose not to record audio and instead type notes.
You can delete notes and exports from the app.
You can contact us to request help with data deletion.
